Rivers
The Seney area is well-known for its beautiful rivers, perfect for trout fishing or canoeing. The Fox River, which runs through the heart of Seney, is understood to have been Ernest Hemingway's favorite trout fishing river (and the real setting for his book, "The Big Two-Hearted River"). The Fox River flows south, joining with the Manistique River, which winds through the Seney National Wildlife Refuge, and is a favorite destination for canoe trips.Links of Interest for the Fox and Manistique Rivers:Map of Fox River - Fishweb.com
